Back in October 2015, Latrobe Valley Bus Lines decided to become a B Corp, and can now say they are proudly a part of the B Corp movement!
Well known B Corps include Ben and Jerry’s, Etsy, Warby Parker, and Kickstarter. There are currently 1619 verified B Corps in 47 different countries, and LVBL is the only bus company across Australia and New Zealand that is has become B Corp Certified.
Becoming a Certified B Corp means demonstrating the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability. These businesses aspire to use the power of markets to solve social and environmental problems, ultimately using business as a force for good. Rather than competing to be the best in the world, B Corps compete to be the best for the world.
Throughout March and April, LVBL has been celebrating becoming a B Corp with our social media photo competition. To win, members of the community had to find our Euro 6 B Corp branded bus, take a photo and provide a few details on our Facebook or Instagram pages. We received a number of fantastic entries and the lucky winners won prizes from local businesses around the Latrobe Valley such as Qu Bah, Iimis, Stadium 34, and Village Cinemas.
